Oh dear, poor Katie. She wasn’t at all well yesterday and, after checking the NHS website, we decided that maybe it was the dreaded swine. I’ve stocked up on Tamiflu just in case but after a day of really taking it easy, lots of vitamins, medicines, water and a tiny smidgin of tomato soup, we’re hoping that maybe it’s not quite as serious as we’d thought. Either way, it feels a bit cruel putting a picture of my poorly dear up on the internet, but she insists the blog must go on. Whatever happens, it will be a very quiet weekend for my patient and I, watching the X-Factor instead of going to L’Autre Pied as planned. Boo hoo. I dressed Katie today – it’s my American Apparel t-shirt, my hat, and her Pepa Loves leggings. Now back to the sickbed.

Do hope you feel better soon – I’m so impressed that you carried on despite being so ill. It looks like a very comforting hat though. GET WELL SOON!
Well done for keeping on with the blog – keeping it real!

but awh poor Katie. Get well super soon xo
get well soon
Aww! Katie still looks so precious, hope she’s feeling better!
I am currently recovering from H1N1, and I would give you this sage advice: don’t try to rush feeling better, I did just that (so I could get back to my summer job) and it just led to my flu lasting over a week and a half, and a very nasty sinus infection!
Rest up and I hope you’re feeling better soon! x
Yikes – get well soon. It’s interesting how differently the swine flu’s being handled in Scotland to England. There’s no online/NHS 24 phoneline diagnosis facility here, and people who present with symptoms are being give telephone consultations with their own GP – and asked not to come into the surgery – then told to stay home, and take iboprofen and paracetemol. I know quite a few people who’ve had it, but no-one’s been given Tamiflu, whereas that seems to be the norm in England. I’m not sure which system is better – and hope I don’t have cause to find out personally! Hope the tamiflu’s helping and you’re feeling a bit better today.
Yup I second what Cat says, young son had it and we didn’t take Tamiflu! Remember to take plenty of fluids with it! And get to bed!!! The flu is bad enough but the infections etc that you can take from it are worse (voice of doom waaaahaaahaaa!) Get well soon x
Oh my god, poor Katie, not feeling well and being dressed like that…
Please get well soon so you could get back into wearing your fabulous colourful clothes. Please.
xx
Sorry you’re ill, but you do stil have the best legs!
