We found a really cool hotel, Le Grand Balcon, right in the centre of Toulouse and spent yesterday and this morning exploring the town (by which I mean, we’ve eaten a lot of duck and taken quite a bit of wine and armagnac). We fly in a few hours so just time to check out and find somewhere to eat some snails and drink a pastis – then I can tick off all the boxes on my South of France list (I wore a cravat to supper last night).
