I woke up far too early and so challenged Katie to get ready in 6 minutes. She (almost) did it. Pretty good effort eh? News also reaches me that one of my former lecturers used the blog in a lecture on The Man of Mode! Big up to David Fairer and the Leeds English Department! I’m using my MA well and not wasting it on some marketing job. I promise.
Today K’s wearing a brilliant Scrabble necklace, a pressie from Hayley Rocks, vintage mohair cardigan, Cos silk dress, TK Maxx tights and AmericanĀ Apparel belt. Thanks to (a different) Katie at Mother for the pic (my ones were rubbish)!

Katie looks stunning in blue – it suits her! Loving the dress
ooh, love the colours. leccy blue is my fave.
Funnily enough, I also used this blog as an example in one of my classes a few weeks back. I was doing social media as a PR tool, and that “word of mouse” was becoming more powerful than word of mouth. The class loved it!
Really love the blue and the bright pink lipstick. I’m so stealing that idea!
You look so very lovely in bright blues they really suit you. LOVE the scrabble necklace how cool is that!
It looks a bit rushed!!!! I’m not sure, uuuum this is my least favourite look of the year!!! Great colour combinations though…
I agree with nyaM. I t does look a bit caotic…more so the jersey and the head… With a little effort, the rest could work well…
the cardigan is brill.
Agree with monique – katie really does suit this blue!
very interesting Cat…Its probably true … im always checking out the sites featured on here.
Love the necklace- seriously very cool! I am also a fan of the pink lipstick it gets over the top when applied drunk tho!
Ok, I’m just waking up here so my eyes are blurry. My first impression of this look is that it is reminiscent of Olivia Newton John’s Let’s Get Physical. I think it’s the shiny fabric, belted w/ shiny tights, & a headband. Blue does look great on Katie, but the line across the bust of that dress is hitting in such a weird place. Katie is way too cute for this dress! xoxo
not so sure about this one. a bit kids from fame. agree with nickie ref bustline of the dress. the triangles look like katie’s boobs should be attached to her neck. love the necklace, love the cardie. just not with the dress / tights / boots. sorry!
Loving this colour combination. Dress is so cute, just looks like it needes tugging down a bit…probably where Katie pulled it on in a hurry in her six minute target!
love the colours but not the ensemble! I would deffo wear the cardigan but with all black underneath!
Where’s the cardigan from? I love the cardigan.
Gosh, even after reading it twice I didn’t pick up on ‘vintage mohair cardigan’, I feel like a fool!
scrabble necklace – what an ace idea, love it!! xx
Love this look! I can just imagine Katie assembling this from a huge well-organised wardrobe in 6 minutes…
Hey the necklace looks FAB!
glad to see you got a few comments on it too
your looking great hun, as usual, that cardie is dead cute!
(just incase anyone was wondering you can buy the scrabble necklaces CLICK HERE )
xx
HayleyRockz, I would really like to buy a scrabble necklace with a diffierent name on it, but can’t seem to do it via the link you provided- can you help?! Thanks.
Love the blue!
I think this outfit is pretty cute! Cardi is lovely and i like that its not as formal as some of the other outfits. Katie isnt brutally cinched at the waist. Love the big grin and the scrabble necklace. I am so getting scrabble letters and a drill out.

“FAME! I’m gonna live forevah!!” That was my first impression of this outfit. Maybe the 6 minute challenge should be shelved? I think this is the least successful of all your outfits Katie but would be great for fancy dress!
