So, after fully expecting to be able to pull up the drawbridge and spend the day in bed “snowed in”, I find myself at work. So much for weather forecasts. It is ridiculously cold though. So much so, that Katie’s pulled out all the warmest clothes in the house: her Burberry snowboots, granny’s fur, my Topman hat and Rebecca’s rabbit cocktail dress worn as a body warmer thing. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Oh no, I don’t know what’s worse – the chavtastic snow boots or the double-hit of fur. At least you’re warm though, so that’s one thing.
I absolutely looooooveee the boots, don’t care who says what…with boots like that I could like winter…:)
don’t like this at all. it’s london, not a fancy dress party in ’90′s russia…
sorry. am sick and not very patient today
But surely Katie wears proper shoes when she gets inside? I slipped all over the place this morning on the way to work – would have loved some snow boots like those for the ice! I love the Russian fancy dress look x
Nope…..sorry…..too mish mash and furry!!!
I commend your resourcefulness when it comes to dealing with the weather but those boots???! Ah Rachael Go! already called them chavtastic so I’ll call them chavilicious! Sorry Katie, not keen on them or the fur-on-fur but I do love the red hat. I think the fur coat would look fab with something less furry underneath!! Keep warm lol
Don’t wear real fur, Katie, it’s not cool.
I too love the boots in all of their chavmania glory….but for the first time ever…..I’m really sorry….but I don’t like today’s outfit….sorry Katie…too much like a homeless bag lady….and I know your not homeless or a bag lady…..you’re much better than this…Next ! xxx
I think you look cosy and huggable, which is exactly what you should look like in the snow, a week before Christmas. The hat brings a touch of an ‘elf’ look to the outfit and, all in all, I think you look very festive! xx
Like this…from the neck upwards only….dont like the fur whether it vintage or not! Faux is ALWAYS best!!
Looking forward to Christmas days efforts and the new year finale! YAY!
just spent nearly 2 hours driving my very hungover boyfriend to work in Toronto’s awful gridlock morning traffic… so coming home to see this outfit was a welcome treat!! You are oozing warm&cozy-cuteness! thanks for the friday morning smile!!!
Have a lovely day Joe and Katie! x
Hold it, rabbit cocktail dress?! In all my life I’ve never seen or heard of a rabbit cocktail dress. I thought I’d seen it all & you proved me wrong today! I don’t mind any of it, I think it’s rather fun. Still not a fan of that necklace, though. Happy Friday everyone! xoxo
As always Katie you look fab – keep warm and enjoy your evening. Loving ALL the attire, Granny would be proud!!
Lots of love. xxxx
P.S. Joe – heavy, heavy snow here in deepest rural Kent. xx
Tried to get my whatkatie wore fix today at school when we were working on the computers and was shocked that the website was blocked!
stupid school!
Anyway love todays outfit! Katie looks so-o-o cosy
This is Gorilla Gone BAD!!!!!!!!
Fur is so deeply uncool
So bad it’s inspired! Only way to wear this is with a sense of irony
, which you have in spades, Katie dear.
i think you might be wearing enough dead animals to start a butchers. ew.
Hmm
I am loving the outfit and I’m very comfortable with fur!!!!
you look lovely and cozy. just thought i’d ask, joe, since i know you and the missus are fans of the xfactor-what’s you’re stance on the RATM vs Joe battle for number 1?
you can have my snow joe, i want to get out! about 8 inches here in kent!
i love this outfit!!! fur is not “uncool”, its warm!!! the boots are toasty looking and i bet you dont skid about in them!! very nice x
Listen up folks – the outfit is silly, ever heard of the story called The Emperor’s New clothes?.
Re the coat: The animal/s used when making the coat would have died long ago if it is Katie’s grans old coat – at least it’s not rotting away in some wilderness. I Don’t agree with breeding animals for fur – but then we know better nowadays than they did back then, Don’t we? and conciously make the choice not to wear new fur?. Choose to wear vintage fur or faux.
you are piss poor at updating on the weekend! LOL
Faux fur is just as warm. Just because it’s vintage fur doesn’t make it better! lol
Faux fur sucks.
Far better to wear something dead, innit.
you know what. im a vegetarian and therefore have the right to get pissy about fur (which im not btw!) but i bet half of you lot are hypocrites and are quite happy to eat an animal and not wear it! and before you ask, no i dont wear leather, or eat fish. so there.
Claire notts obviously knows nothing about animal furring. In other news – LOVE the Burberry boots. They’re hilarious! haha Also love the bright red hat. It kind of doesn’t look real. It looks as though Jo has painted it on!!
Katie you look amazing as ever, necklace is utterly charming and the fur works a treat in this FREEZING weather!
Faux fur looks just as real as the genuine article. So saying its ok to wear faux is still advertising fur as fashion. If you *really* don’t like it then you shouldn’t wear either.
And while you’re at it, it might be an idea to check all your medication, beauty and hygiene goods, remove your boots, gloves, wallets, bags & belts in case they are leather, and also check all your food for any dairy, as that industry isn’t too pleasant either. THEN you can take your rightful place on the Moral High Ground and look down on us amoral folk as we enjoy our steak.
The boots are FAB! I’m not sure that Katie could ever be mistaken for a chav, and Burberry have come a long way since 1998…
love your look
so unique

I think by saying it’s ok to raise animals so they can electrocuted and skinned alive is pretty ignorant. Sorry butit is. I cannot believe in this day and age that people still wear fur and think it’s ok. Bye bye WKW blog. You’ve suddenly become unpopular with me.
hmm i like the everything except the coat and boots (you can get such lovely snowjoggers in lovely vibrant colours katie wd love them, the burb is just to neddy) anyway the furry black bodice thing is pretty cool, but as its not at least vintage fur i really cant agree with buying new furr in this day and age when faux is done so well. sorry guys
Love the fur coat, the necklace and that fabulous yellow skirt.
I didn’t care for fur until I tried on a mink coat in a vintage store and felt like a million dollars. Sadly, it’ll never be cold enough in Australia to justify the purchase.
