We’ve had a splendid day strolling around the Old Course at St. Andrews for the penultimate day of the British Open. And, believe it or not, Katie was by no means the most brightly dressed.
It’s all about layers at St. Andrews. Lots are required when you’re anywhere near a fairway. Far fewer when you’re sculking in the Bolly Tent. Today Katie has been the epitome of golfing style wearing Topshop trousers (as plus fours), Sonia Rykiel socks, 80s “Dash” sweatshirt, Barbour jacket and Ecco golf shoes.
Back to London tomorrow. Hope you’re all having lovely sunshine filled weekends.
I’m sorry Katie, I think this is the most hideous outfit I’ve ever seen you in. But I understand you’re at the golf, so it doesn’t really count, and I still bet you’re the most stylish one there. And I think kudos for being brave enough to attempt some form of golf outfit!

I had a very similar design on a black t-shirt in 1989! I think the outfit’s suitably quirky and relevant to the occasion even if it is on the loud side!

LOL!! that sweatshirt – I’m so glad I avoided that kind of thing in the 80′s, at least I can say hand-on-heart that I never went there first time around, let along now! Oh Katie, you are so brave/mad putting this kind of this together. Weather check: Cloudy but brightening up. Defo NOT BBQ/skinny dipping in sea weather.
Having watched over 7 hours of golf yesterday (really!), I can tell you that the conditions in St. Andrews necessitated an outfit such as the one Katie’s wearing. The bottom half especially, I could see Ian Poulter rocking! And who doesn’t love a Barbour? I like!
