12.20.09taken when we won the lotteryWe cleared out the National Lottery coffers to the tune of tenner last night (which we promptly exchanged for Pinot Noir). The Christmas shopping is done and I've only got two more days at work for the year. And the ever-dapper George from Gilbert and George doffed his hat to me in Spitalfields earlier. All is well with the world. It's even been a little bit sunny here as well - here's Katie stood in a sunbeam in a gorgeous new dress from Future Vintage, TK Maxx gilet, Sam Thomas boots and Christian Dior sunnies. And all of the fur is faux. Promise.

11.28.09taken on national gluttony dayWe're going to totally gorge ourselves today. First we had lunch at Bistrotheque and then went on to the supermarket (via TK Maxx) to stock up on loads of odd-looking stinking cheese, some badass salmon (which I'm cooking with the special vermouth I keep for my martinis) and some really nice vino. We'll get stuck in as soon as K's finished wrapping my birthday prezzies! 09.08.09taken on monochrome tuesdayThis is a good one, eh? We were both up v early, Katie to dash off to a big meeting and me to go and crank out another 5k (brrrrrrrrrrrrrapppp). And only two glasses of wine last night. I'll be punching frozen meat like Rocky in no time. Katie's (MJ tribute?) outfit consists of an excellent skirt suit from Future Vintage, American Apparel tights, New Look shoes and a Christmas present bracelet from Ruth and Walter back home in her wee Scottish village. 08.03.09taken on sleepy mondaySome awful person's burglar alarm went off for several hours in the night. So we haven't slept much. And my ears are sore from wedging makeshift cotton wool ear plugs into them. Surely 5 minutes alarm time is enough to scare of any would-be thief? After several hours you can't help but hope the burglars robbed them thoroughly and tossed a match into a pile of oily rags on the way out.
