It’s the second day of the M&S blogger challenge, and feeling an awful lot less shivery & full of the cold, I’ve gone colour-match OCD with this Limited Collection silk dress. Isn’t the orange, electric blue and grey combo lovely? Couldn’t resist layering tops, belt & necklace to pick out each bold stripe in the skirt.

To match my M&S dress, I’m wearing Tabio tights, a Jessica Dance necklace, Calvin Klein booties and a See by Chloe puff-sleeve top.

First of yesterday’s questions…the size of my wardrobe. It’s honestly nowhere near as big as you’d think! After mastering making use of every teeny weeny inch of space with storage boxes, micro-thin hangers & additional shelves it’s like a TARDIS. Maybe one of these days Joe will agree to take a picture in front of it…

After a huge haggisy breakfast, we went for a wee walk around Katie’s village, stopping off to look at the annual Charlestown vegetable growing competition. Now we’re watching the English win at the rugby while my Scottish hosts scream support for the Irish.

Katie had some lunch at Leon. I’ve had some beers in Bethnal. That’s the news for today.

I keep getting the most bizarre emails off the back of yesterday’s Guardian piece – some guy essentially just “came out” to me via email in the most unusual and possibly threatening way. I might look him up on Grindr – he’s probably a nice guy.

Anyway, aren’t Katie’s shoes rather awesome? They’re from Sarenza. The mac is from ASOS, the necklace is Jessica Dance necklace and the tights are Red or Dead.

In other news, the Szechuan pork belly we attempted for supper was a bit too greasy for our liking. Here’s to better meat for the rest of the week.

Here’s Katie on Park Avenue in New York, out to get some lunch. I’m at home working, and will be until at least midnight. Envious is not the word.

Hello. I’m just back in from a nice long luncheon and, as I’m somewhat tired and emotional, will keep this brief.

Katie seems to have outdone herself today. She looks like a summer roll from Liberace’s Mental Vietnamese Restaurant.

The vintage dress is from Frocking Fabulous, the neon “thing” is from TK Maxx, the necklace is from Jessica Dance and the see-through mac was a present from Claire.

Who woke up somewhere unexpected this morning? How’s the head? We feel rather good (we’ve had a nice long champagne lunch).

As part of my wide-ranging NYRs, as of today, I’ve stopped smoking. I feel smug about it already (I’m considering taking up gambling as a replacement vice). It looks like Katie’s taken up some form of yoga. I think she’s actually just trying to retain her balance after lunch. She wears Topshop trousers, Tabio sockettes, Lazy Oaf and Jessica Dance necklaces and a TK Maxx top.

Have excellent 2011s. What are your resolutions?

The top pic was taken before an amazing meal at Martin Wishart’s last night – Katie wears a Folk dress (a prezzie from me) and a Manoush gilet thing. In the bottom picture Katie wears a Pringle silk blouse, furry gilet from TK Maxx, Jessica Dance necklace and Bebaroque tights (another prezzie from me).  

Time to put a large glass of the Royal Lochnagar out (assuming there’s some left after last night) and hope that Santa sees writing a blog about the ridiculous clothes your girlfriend wears as the sort of thing a good boy would do.

Oh dear, we’re feeling a wee bit tired and emotional. Might possibly have something to do with the unusually long lunch the K&I just had at Polpo (Campari, Campari, Gavi di Gavi, Armagnac). Time for a little sleep perhaps.

Soz for the late post – I’m off to Barcelona tomorrow morning for work and haven’t quite prepared a thoroughly as I perhaps should have done. (Btw – any good suggestions for nommy places to eat/drink while I’m there?)
