Good evening everyone, it’s me – Joe’s away from London on business so I’m home alone. But not for long; I’m up at the crack of dawn to go meet him in Rome for the weekend! I can’t wait!!

Still, it’s been nice to potter about the house tonight. I’ve had a lovely evening cooking a Nigel Slater veggie treat and flicking through housie magazines getting ideas for decorating. Now time to finish packing and get an early night before my flight. Today I’m wearing an asos floral jumper, vintage dress, orange Tabio tights and Kurt Geiger shoes.

I’ve just realised that the title of this post could easily double as copy for a Mooncup ad. Anyway, now that we’ve bought a house with a cute little garden we’re going to need to focus on our herb growing game. Katie’s already on point: so far she’s sprouted some mint, some basil, some Somalian khat and that sticky Pineapple Express purple budded hydro. Salads at our place are getting better by the day.

Wonderful news; Joe won two Lions at Cannes for his 2 Minute Silence campaign! I’m a very, very proud girlfriend indeed. While he toasts their success with champers in the sunshine, I’ve enjoyed being a lady of leisure in London Town today. A long lie was followed by a visit by the council pest man (yep, Midnight Christopher has made a reappearance) and then a wonderfully drawn-out Kir Royal-fuelled afternoon tea at Dean Street Townhouse with one of my really good friends who created the brilliant I Love Boxie. I guess you can say I piled on the pattern for the occasion.

I’m wearing a vintage jumpsuit with Motel Rocks leggings, an awesome vintage Van Cleef & Arpels bum bag (with chiffon belt) that my parents found in a wee shop in Royal Deeside and Kurt Geiger shoes. All topped off with my new hairpiece from Fred Butler’s collection for Lazy Oaf, and my boggley eye necklace (also from Lazy Oaf). I’m sure Joe would say that this ensemble is fit to make your eyes bleed.

Back to work for me tomorrow. Night all x

Katie was out the house before I’d even done my stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

Katie’s mum Jane is visiting tonight so we’re off out for some Frenchy supper at Brawn. Don’t the pair of them look glamourous?

Right, got to make this quick – Katie’s taking me out for a special dinner tonight for no reason in particular and we need to dash for a cab. Lucky me eh? Beats going on a silly march and messing with Fortnums.

Most of the advertising industry is automated of course. All it takes to strain out an Uncle Meerkat or an Old Spice Man nowadays is a couple of downtrodden minimum-wage typist types being pan-piped at by their dressed-in-the-dark overlord.

Joe’s been out for a celebratory boozy lunch today. And as I think he’s still quaffing Campari Spritz and awesome food at Polpo, I thought I’d do the blog today.

As you can see, I’m home and full of the joys of spring. And wearing trousers, which is most unusual I know. All due to me looking for something that would set off the awesome vintage stripey shirt and Laura Ashley jacket that Emma picked out for me from her Bedroom Boutique. Aforementioned trousers are my mum’s Escada jeans from the 80′s, worn with Tabio socks, Fenn Wright Manson cardi and Kurt Geiger shoes.
