KATIE’S UP!

Thanks for being patient today – I’ve been in all over London all day and have only just got to my desk.

How are you? More importantly, has anyone got any choice recommendations for a quick mini-break for me and the bird to shoot off to in a few weeks time. Nuffin that’s going to break my penny jar – somewhere pretty, within Europe, with lots of nice food and which isn’t ruled by a soon-to-be-overthrown dictator? Oh, and a decent WiFi connection.

Lovely outfit today, IMHO. A vintage dress borrowed from the Vintage Resource Studio, the Sophie Hulme necklace from Luna & Curious, Miista shoes by Laura Villasenin shoes and a Mulberry.

What an awesome outfit for NYC Day II. Wish I was in New York. Instead I’m going to an 80s style wine bar to do a pub quiz. Rubbish.

The amazing wool cape is from Vintage Resource Studio, the dress is from Frocking Fabulous, the leopard print hat is from Tinkerbella and the Tailor and Laura Villasenin from Miista made the boots.

Hope the present buying is going well Ks. I haven’t burned the house down yet.

Katie and her mate Nats were out rather late last night emptying the fridges of Shoreditch House with the rest of East London. Unsurprisingly, she wasn’t all that excited about having to get up for her haircut with Chris at Hob this morning. It’s a very nice one though, so Chris clearly wasn’t put off by the cocktail fumes.

After some recovery dim sum at Royal China Club we’re now back home for a quiet evening of the very trashiest of TV.

She wears an Aftershock jumpsuit, granny’s vintage fur and Laura Villasenin shoes. Very nice.

We saw a house we liked on the www last night so went and peered through the windows this afternoon (the estate agents couldn’t show us inside today because all of their sales guys were busy driving through Clapham with their collars popped). The gaff is located in proper inner city East London so it’s possible I might need to join a gang, but I’m sure you agree that it would be a small price to pay to be close to the tube and a variety of fried chicken shops.

Katie’s E1 gangwear consists of a Manoush dress, She Really Roks scarf, belt from Absolute Vintage and Laura Villasenin shoes. Cool eh?

Lastly, a friend of ours has started an excellent blog. It’s good if you (a) like photos of food, (b) are hungry, or (c) live in Stoke Newington. Check out Things We’ve Eaten.

Ah, girls love it when this happens. Katie and her friend Jen are both wearing vaguely similar skirts to work. ZOMG HOW EMBARRASSING, LET’S PUT IT ON TEH 1NTERNETS!!!

The slightly similar skirts are both from Darling, Katie’s awesome boots are from the brilliant Laura Villasenin, the tights are Tabio, the blouse is F&F Couture and the excellent button brooches made from vintage Liberty print fabric are from Fab Pins.

I’m back to work and less than happy about it.

Portugal Day Two and we’ve been for a delicious fishy lunch at A Ruina and then burned it off swimming and playing tennis so that we’re ready for the delights of Willie’s Restaurant later tonight.

Katie’s working a very laid back holiday look today – a Cos sweatshirt dress, Wolford leggings, shoes by top East London designer Laura Villasenin and a bow necklace which was a present K’s friend Josephine picked up in Sydney.

Katie is keeping it real wearing ethical shoe brand Where today made by Hackney-based designer Laura Villasenin. Pretty cool eh? Big up to Laura. In other news, Katie no longer smells of gin. And she’s promised me a trip to TK Maxx at the weekend. And a fancy dress Halloween party. What a perfect girlfriend. Today she’s also wearing lovely new Tabio Snowflake knee-high socks, Manoush dress and super warm New Look faux fur. Have good Fridays. Treat yourself with a nice pub lunch – maybe a ploughman’s?
