What a scary night last night? At one point we packed emergency evacuation bags just in case we needed to do a midnight flit. Here’s to hoping nothing happens tonight.

At least Johnny Scaffolding seems to be in high spirits this morning. He’s rebuilding Broken Britain single handedly.

Hasn’t it been a wonderful day? I can’t believe that it’s going to rain tomorrow. Joe’s out this evening so I’m enjoying some Katie time and trashy TV.

Katie was our rather late last night on the smash celebrating all the fantastic PR her blog idea got yesterday. She’s a very happy lady.

Living the unglamorous life that we do, we’re speed-dialling the Chinese takeaway in this eve, post-haste. I suggest you do the same.

Joe’s off to Berlin on a Stag do this weekend but worry not, I’m not home alone – my parents have come down to stay to keep me company. In fact, my mum took this shot in between us screaming at the telly during the Murray v Nadal match. Fingers crossed this is just a blip and Murray’s going to come back in the third set…

We’re meeting my brother and his girlfriend for dinner at The Gilbert Scott tonight, so all going well at Wimbledon, it’s already shaping up to be a lovely evening.

Wonderful news; Joe won two Lions at Cannes for his 2 Minute Silence campaign! I’m a very, very proud girlfriend indeed. While he toasts their success with champers in the sunshine, I’ve enjoyed being a lady of leisure in London Town today. A long lie was followed by a visit by the council pest man (yep, Midnight Christopher has made a reappearance) and then a wonderfully drawn-out Kir Royal-fuelled afternoon tea at Dean Street Townhouse with one of my really good friends who created the brilliant I Love Boxie. I guess you can say I piled on the pattern for the occasion.

I’m wearing a vintage jumpsuit with Motel Rocks leggings, an awesome vintage Van Cleef & Arpels bum bag (with chiffon belt) that my parents found in a wee shop in Royal Deeside and Kurt Geiger shoes. All topped off with my new hairpiece from Fred Butler’s collection for Lazy Oaf, and my boggley eye necklace (also from Lazy Oaf). I’m sure Joe would say that this ensemble is fit to make your eyes bleed.

Back to work for me tomorrow. Night all x

Katie’s parents are visiting this weekend and so we’re off out tonight to the brilliant Boundary restaurant. How exciting.

Doesn’t Katie look furtive? Her new agency Night Out In Swansea has really taken off (a bit too much so, truth be told) and now she’s got clients queueing around the block for ads with all the Facebook-Tweets and You Tubes stuff. To satisfy demand, it looks like Katie’s sneaked back into Mother (her old agency) to nick a few mood films, some scamps and an original script about a fashion blog or something, just so that she’s got something to present tomorrow. Everyone likes talking animals, right? So I’m sure she’ll be fine.

Katie loves pointless bureaucracy and so you can imagine her disappointment when our census form never showed up. Luckily, after several lengthy phone calls, she was finally able to secure the emergency dispatch of a new one. Turns out, she didn’t want me to fill her section in while she was asleep. It also turns out that her first language isn’t Jamaican Patois; her job doesn’t involve playing piano in a brothel; and her national identity is Scottish and not English (I just assumed that since she’s been living here for so long she’s probably fully naturalised by now – she can almost pronounce “scone”). Not sure she needed to overreact in quite the way she did though.

A really quick post this evening because I’m soaking up the last of the sun in the OAP’s beer garden. My friend Jess is going to work in Rwanda for 6 months and tonight is her leaving do… safe to say that it’s very likely I’ll be feeling bleary eyed tomorrow!
