And, much like building a frame winning break, today Katie has metaphorically gone for the safe blue of Anthony's 80's flecked polo shirt, rather than cut the risky black of Anthony's childhood pyjamas. She's clearly building up to something BIG for the end of the week. The challenge outfit also consists of an ASOS jumpsuit, Temperley cardigan and the Lulu umbrella. Our friend Anthony has supplied five items of dubious quality from his wardrobe which Katie must integrate into her outfits during the course of the week. We had an awesome evening last night at the Met Bar with the Lulu Guinness girls, eating a specially created Lulu Afternoon Tea with lots of proper fashion bloggers. I was the only man there and maybe spent more time eating cake than talking fashion but it was cool to be able to put faces to the blogs we read. Om nom nom nom. 08.07.09taken before anna’s weddingIt's Anna's wedding today and so Katie is up in Newcastle. I, unfortunately, am tethered to my desk and so many thanks to Dissy for hooking me up with a photo. This dress is simply beautiful - it was sent to us from the guys at Smooph. Very very cool. Thank you guys. And a welcome reappearance of the Lulu bag. Wow. 07.30.09taken on national lulu daySome serious excitement yesterday. I got a package at work. It had a Lulu Guinness handbag in it (a Colour Flash Elongated Pollyanna Clutch to be precise). It turns out Lulu (you know, like, global fashion lady extraordinaire, OBE, Katie's fashion hero, etc. etc.) had seen the blog and liked Katie's "style". I call Katie. Katie squeals. She squeals again when I hand the handbag over. Katie spends several hours stroking the handbag, squealing intermittently. Putting things in the handbag. Taking things out of the handbag.
