  Taken On Blue Monday What Katie Wore | (17)

  That's a lot of blue. Maybe Katie's not-so-secretly showing her political allegiance to Mr. Cameron (the Smythson vanity case really gives the game away). The rest of today's outfit consists of a Manoush body warmer, Where shoes and a Topshop dress. I was asked a lot of questions about a yellow pocket square I wore last week. Is anyone else planning on wearing political colours to show their support? What colour is UKIP?

  Urgh. Yesterday was a boozey one for both of us - my leaving drinks and then some more drinks in East London has meant that we didn't get out of bed until gone 6pm, having watched two shocking games of rugby. In fact, if there had been a better programme on than Let's Dance, chances are we wouldn't have got up at all.   Poor Katie hasn't been feeling too well today and so we're staying in tonight. But don't worry. K's got some lovely flowers, an enormous takeaway has been summoned and Take Me Out (literally the best programme ever made) is on the telly. And we had a fantastic meal at the Caledonian Club last night anyway - a night in will do us some good.     We had a great New Year's day yesterday, and spent the afternoon eating freshly caught clams, prawns and fish and drinking beers on the beach. Today we've had a little stroll around the golf course. Here's Katie on the tee for the toughest hole on the course, requiring a drive of over 150 metres from the tee to clear the deep ravine and reach the green. Alas, Katie didn't quite manage it. Twice. But she did play a great round. We're thinking of playing more when we return to the UK - anyone know any good courses not too far from East London? Katie's golfing ensemble consists ...

  taken in portugal What Katie Wore | (19)

  Hooray! We're in Portugal to see in the New Year. We're staying at the Sheraton Pinecliffs (FYI: amazing). So far it's been a little rainy but very warm nevertheless. We've just had some lunch and now it's time for a swim and a sauna to get ourselves in shape for golf and tennis tomorrow (not to mention a gruelling boozeathon at Hogmanay). Katie's looking especially cool for the first day here - Topshop Unique shellsuit harem pants, Manoush puffa jacket thing and shoes from Supersweet (a Christmas present from moi). Hope the snow isn't too bad back home!!!

  It was a relatively late one last night (Katie was on the hazelnut grappa). We managed to drag ourselves out of the house for a pretty unrewarding grease burger from The Diner on Curtain Road and then went to the cinema to see The Informant. Now time for some Jedward on the X-Factor and some roast pork and crackling. OM. NOM. Katie's wearing her new ethical Where boots again, New Look jumper dress, H&M hat and Manoush jacket. Comfy hangover clothes.

  Katie is keeping it real wearing ethical shoe brand Where today made by Hackney-based designer Laura Villasenin. Pretty cool eh? Big up to Laura. In other news, Katie no longer smells of gin. And she's promised me a trip to TK Maxx at the weekend. And a fancy dress Halloween party. What a perfect girlfriend. Today she's also wearing lovely new Tabio Snowflake knee-high socks, Manoush dress and super warm New Look faux fur. Have good Fridays. Treat yourself with a nice pub lunch - maybe a ploughman's?

  Katie's off to give some blood this morning. What a fine, upstanding citizen (she only does it for the free tea and biscuits). And, considering the amount of Pinot Noir thrown back last night, whoever gets her donation will come out of surgery with a hangover and a kebab. Today she's wearing a Manoush quilted jacket, Prada leather skirt, Irregular Choice booties, Sonia Rykiel belt and big up props to Petra the prop stylish who lent Katie that giant perspex bracelet.

  Check it out - our friend Carl from the flower market hooked us up with pretty much all the lilies. If you die this week, bad luck, because you'll not have any lilies at your funeral. They're all in my kitchen. (Seriously, if you do have a funerary emergency, we'd be more than happy to loan a few vases, in return for some funeral cake). It's been an otherwise uneventful Sunday - Katie's working working working the whole time and I'm having to fend for myself, by which I mean, drink cider.   Katie's finally well enough to be able to leave the house and so we grabbed some healthy Vietnamese this evening and have now retired to the house to watch Fear and Loathing and drink Horlicks. We're both hoping for a very relaxing Bank Holiday which may or may not include a trip to TK Maxx (or the Burberry outlet store), a barbecue, some scrabble, some gin and another opportunity to attempt to begin Swann's Way for the 10th time.
