Scotland was cool. Coolest of all though - Michael Portillo was eating in the same restaurant that I had lunch in. He's a very handsome man in real life and, although I couldn't quite see, I would imagine he also has impeccable table manners. Sometime I worry that I'm going to run out of things to write about each day. And then I remember that I'll always have casual speculation about how former Conservative ministers hold their forks, and everything is ok.
