Great day today, thanks for all your recommendations - we've been to the Cactus Garden (as good as a cactus garden can be, I guess), the excellent secret underground cave complex, something called the Mirador del Rio (honestly, a bit rubbish) and then had a wonderful lunch in the old capital, Teguise. Plus, the guys at the hotel have upgraded us to a suite. Which is totally excellent - on the ceiling above our bed is a fresco of Ze Fallen Madonna With Ze Big Boobies (see below).
