03.14.10Taken After The SplurgeSo, we're on stale bread and water for the rest of the month after a rather big splurge this arvo. Katie's outdone herself at TK Maxx, finding a Luella handbag (!) and some Stella McCartney shoes (OMG), which I'm sure you'll be seeing at some point. And I've bought a load of junk I'll never use - including a large decanter and a skipping rope. Seriously. A skipping rope, ladies and gentlemen. Today Katie's wearing Miss Selfridge shoes, incredibly cute Tabio sockettes, Motel Rocks top and a lovely Gail Hoppen coat. I suppose I had better go and do some skipping.

11.11.09taken when katie was brightly dressed againLook, Katie's back to her old technicolour self. She's in a pink Cos dress, Tatty Devine belt, Miss Selfridge shoes and a hat from the Laden Showroom on Brick Lane. The blog was featured in Spot On magazine this month - a German mag for people that want to learn English! Pretty cool yes?! Katie lived in Germany for a year and even speaks the Queen's Deutsch so was very pleased. (She was especially keen on being described as "Katie, 18"). Lol.

08.19.09taken on statistical wednesdayStat of the day: I read this moring that 1 in 8 couples married in the USA last year met on the internets. Can you believe that? I think that it's probably very cool. Here's Katie (my internet woman...although we actually met in a horrible agency pub called The Barley Mow - long closed) wearing an utterly excellent pencil skirt from Future Vintage and Miss Selfridge shoes.

07.15.09taken on the ides of julyKatie's off to Nottingham today having painstakingly planned an outfit around a plastic floppy disk necklace she got sent from independent jewellery brand Junksucker. Pretty cool eh? Check their ebay store out - v cheap and v cool. Katie's also wearing shoes from Miss Selfridge and H&M chiffon harem pants. Now, time to do lots of work. Bye for now.

05.31.09taken on work all day sundayPoor Katie, she's been at work all day writing a paper. We managed to have some excellent breakfast together first though, over at the Albion Caff. I've been making some geeky changes to the blog, all of which will become apparent in the next couple of days or so but sorry if you've had any probs with the site today. 05.27.09taken when we went to santini’sKatie's off to Nottingham today and then we're off out to Santini's later to gorge on Milanese with a little bit of spaghetti on the side. Fantastic (and doubtless far better than the Vietnamese we crammed down on Kingsland Road last night). Katie's wearing a Burberry dress, Miss Selfridge shoes, some pom-pom ring that she fashioned herself and the Cartier.

05.20.09taken when katie went out with natsKatie's old friend Natalie is in town from Copenhagen today and so they're going out for drinks in town tonight, which should be good for the economy. Katie's wearing a vintage Guy Laroche dress (which she was thrilled to buy in a charity shop in St John's Wood last night), a Louis Vuitton handbag strap (worn as a belt) and a Miss Selfridge necklace. Take care if you're in Soho tonight.

04.22.09taken when katie wore the same dress too muchThis is the second time Katie has worn this dress this month! I know it's kind of against the rules (not that we actually have any rules) but she looks very nice, so I'll let her off. It's a Spense dress (no website) which Katie's combined with Miss Selfridge shoes, a green belt from a some junk shop and a green beaded sweat band she made herself.

03.12.09taken on the day the german troops entered austriaApologies for the rubbish post title. I couldn't think of anything good and so I had to do some googling and this is honestly the best historical event that happened on 12th March. Today Katie is wearing a vintage purple silk belt tied into a bow broach, a pink silk Karen Millen top, Carvela shoes and Miss Selfridge jacket.
