It’s been a very long day. I got up at 6 to go to the gym and it’s 9.22pm and I’m still in the office. Sorry it’s a not-much-chat-Katie writing the blog tonight. No need to worry though; we’re off to Scotland this weekend so lots of R&R and yummy home-cooked food is on the horizon.

It’s me again. I was dead to the world when Joe left this morning after a dinner party that turned raucous last night. So feeling a wee bit fragile, you can imagine my glee when the Scarves book opened on this cracker today meaning I could wear my Manoush fleece dress! Matching the scarf colours almost identically are American Apparel tights and New Look shoes. The Lanvin sunnies are from TK Maxx.

Such a festive day – first we had a wander around the Christmas markets of East London and then we bought up half of the northern hemisphere’s cheese reserves. I’m going to open a bottle of wine and cook a gammon while Katie decorates the flat and readies herself for X-Factor (I’m very upset about Cher leaving).

Today’s rather patriotic ensemble consists of a vintage dress from Upstyler, Topshop sequin waistcoat, New Look socks and that D&G bag (which seems to be glued to Katie’s hand at the moment).

Thanks to everyone that has clicked “like” on the Facebook page to support the Poppy Appeal. I can now reveal that the campaign is about getting 2 minutes of silence to number 1 in the charts for Remembrance Sunday. It’s pretty much taken up the last four months of my life. Hopefully it will raise a lot of money for the Royal British Legion. It also meant I got to meet some v cool people like Thom Yorke and Mark Ronson – not to mention going to 10 Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister. Might have something to do with her not having a massive quiff today. Although it’s probably more because she’s full of the cold and feeling sorry for herself which may also explain today’s ensemble.

Hello all. How are you? I feel that I might be neglecting you somewhat. Promise it isn’t intentional – to be honest, K & I have hardly seen each other all week. She’s working on some big old pitch and I’ve got this big project on at work (which is very exciting BTW – it’s something awesome that you’ll all be able to get involved with – tell you more soon!)

Anyway, here’s Katie at the Arnold Circus, a lovely old Victorian bandstand near our gaff. She wears Motel Rocks leggings, New Look dress, Stolen Thunder scarf and a zip necklace from Tatty Devine (a present from moi).

So poor Katie has come down with a bit of the flu and has had to miss the hen night. I’ve made the decision to move her recuperation to the roof terrace (hereafter known as The Pimms Zone) where I am better equipped to administer care, attention and icy lemonade. Hopefully she’ll feel better soon.

In any case, she still looks adorable. She’s wearing an ancient New Look dress (which she wore on the first ever date we went on – awwww) and Killah shoes.

I’m not allowed to get a real doggie, partly because Katie says our flat is too small and partly because Katie says I can’t be trusted. She’s probably right on both counts. But, thanks to the excellent folks at Fuzzy Nation we’ve now got a practice doggie in the form of this beautiful pug purse. Isn’t he stunning? We’ve decided to name him Gregory (pron: “grey-gray”).

I’m hoping that if I do a good job of looking after Gregory, Katie might let me have a real one.

In other outfit news, Katie’s fleece skirt is French Connection, the jacket is New Look and the earmuffs are from Accessorize.

The heroin park has been given a spray paint make-over by some young church types. The local yoot will now see the J-Man as far cooler and relevant than they did before. Isn’t advertising easy?

We’ve had a lazy day – lunch at The Eagle and then the cinema (we saw”Un prophète” – a bit overrated). Now home just in time for some trashy Saturday night TV – Take Me Out anyone?
