No – not an allusion to a close examination of my masculine failings. But we are off to visit our new house tomorrow to measure up for a bed and a fridge and a washing machine and… well basically absolutely everything – we own virtually nothing other than shoes. Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds shoes.

Today Katie’s standing in front of the pictures of her colleagues’ mothers in Mother. Doesn’t she look autumnal? Well, in a neon-kind of way. She’s wearing a vintage dress, Zara shoes, her dad’s belt from the sixties, Wolford tights and an absolutely awesome new Stolen Thunder gin ring.

Anyway, must dash. As Katie works late on that big pitch, I’m off for a swanky dinner. And lots of gin.

Hello all. How are you? I feel that I might be neglecting you somewhat. Promise it isn’t intentional – to be honest, K & I have hardly seen each other all week. She’s working on some big old pitch and I’ve got this big project on at work (which is very exciting BTW – it’s something awesome that you’ll all be able to get involved with – tell you more soon!)

Don’t worry, don’t worry – Katie and I didn’t have an argument yesterday (just a minor disagreement over what constitutes reasonable office hours). But thank you for your emails of support anyway!!! LOL.

Morning all. Nice day for a new government eh?

Here’s Katie just before she shoots off up North for some meeting or other. She’s wearing a whole load of stuff: Motel Rocks cardi, Tatty Devine brooch, shoes from the Lavender Room, another Kyboe watch, Stolen Thunder snoodle scarf thing, and probably a few other bits too.

So, what new policies are you hoping for from a Con/Lib government? I’m looking forward to that promised Shoreditch tax-break (in was in their manifestos, towards the back I think) and an end to Crocs and Croc Wearers.

Katie may seem a little startled in this pic, and with good cause – it was taken at like stupid o’clock before she left for some stupid meeting in the stupid gun crime capital of the East Midlands (the early start is presumably because they need to enter the city under the cover of darkness).

At the risk of making herself appear even more of a target – check out Katie’s new SNOODLE!!! What’s a snoodle you ask? Well, obviously it’s that awesome orange thing around her neck. It comes from the brilliant, quirky jewellery folk at Stolen Thunder. I’ve tried it on and it’s definitely unisex. Although I’m not sure I could wear it in Nottingham.

The rest of today’s outfit consists of ASOS harems (they’ve got a sale on!), Tesco tops and shoes from the Lavender Room. Not bad at all for 2am.

Katie’s had the best day – a lovely Italian lunch in Soho with her friend Alicia at Polpo and then a Scottish win in the rugger. I’ve been in bed with the hangovers – we threw a party at my new agency which carried on a bit longer than we had planned…

I went to a proper big rave last night held by the nice people of LBi at their very cool offices. I’m feeling seriously delicate today. And I’ve just found out I didn’t win a pitch. Booo. Shit Friday. Katie’s clearly got something to smile about though – no idea what, maybe it’s to do with my secret birthday surprise. Today she’s wearing a vintage dress and vintage fur, both from Marcos & Trump, my bowler hat and a lovely new brooch from Stolen Thunder.

The old blog got a wee shout out in The Scotsman today – “The Online Stepford Wives”! Katie’s from Fife, so she’ll be very happy. Many thanks to Lori for the article – although not sure how Stepford Katie is – I thought the SW’s were all about submissive docile conformity. Katie is all about wearing bright colours and working fifteen hour days. And drinking gin. Today she’s in a Paul & Joe skirt, British Army belt, Wolford Tights and a fantastic new Stolen Thunder birdie necklace. Look – it’s flown out the cage!
