10.27.11Taken When Katie Was Home AloneGood evening everyone, it's me - Joe's away from London on business so I'm home alone. But not for long; I'm up at the crack of dawn to go meet him in Rome for the weekend! I can't wait!! Still, it's been nice to potter about the house tonight. I've had a lovely evening cooking a Nigel Slater veggie treat and flicking through housie magazines getting ideas for decorating. Now time to finish packing and get an early night before my flight. 09.09.11Taken for the M&S Limited Collection Challenge – Day 2It's the second day of the M&S blogger challenge, and feeling an awful lot less shivery & full of the cold, I've gone colour-match OCD with this Limited Collection silk dress. Isn't the orange, electric blue and grey combo lovely? Couldn't resist layering tops, belt & necklace to pick out each bold stripe in the skirt. To match my M&S dress, I'm wearing Tabio tights, a Jessica Dance necklace, Calvin Klein booties and a See by Chloe puff-sleeve top. First of yesterday's questions...the size of my wardrobe. 09.06.11Taken Pre Dissertation CelebrationsWe're off out to celebrate K's brother Euan handing in his MA dissertation tonight. It should be lots of fun. It also means it's exactly 7 years since I handed in my MA dissertation: A Palaeographic Study of the Autograph Book of Major William Fairfax, 1621. When I first interviewed for the role of pianist at Le Maison de Tolérance, they didn't feel they needed an educated man. They couldn't have been more wrong. So, to make everything alright, they're ordering crispy seaweed, fluorescent sweet and sour chicken noms, duck in pancakes and some dubious left-field tofu selection. Everything will be much better after our imminent gorge-fest. K wears Tabio tights, ASOS jumper with detachable collar and TK Maxx shoes. Night night. X

Here she is recreating that famous Siouxsie (sans Banshees) shot with her tour rider of sweeties, taken by David Bailey for The Face or something. Robert Smith wears a Rutme shirt, Cos tank top. Red or Dead leggings from tightsplease.com and Tabio leg warmers. Oh, and the sweets are supplied by the ever excellent Suck and Chew.

04.07.11Taken in the Front RoomCheck out Mother's Front Room; aren't the chandeliers awesome? I'm looking a little blearly after a long day of meetings, interspersed with excited calls with Joe about house things (still got fingers crossed on that front). Today's outfit is based wholly around my new Lady Gaga knitted finger puppet sent to me from the lovely people at Rubbish mag. Backdrop for the lovely Gaga is a vintage dress from Frocking Fabulous, Olga de Polga lace leggings, Tabio sockettes and Feud shoes from Sarenza. Hope you've all been enjoying the sunshine. Definitely time to crack out the summer wardrobe I think. Katie x

04.04.11Taken When K Cleaned The Skank HouseHere's some free advertising for Mr Brillo. Katie's mum is visiting tomorrow and so the house needs to be thoroughly cleaned; a number of items need to be incinerated; and a couple of the more severe infestations need to be fumigated. Katie's unconventional cleaning outfit consists of Topshop harem pants, Tabio legwarmers, vintage sweatshirt dress thing from 123 and a pair of Marigolds. I'm popping out to the pub to leave her to it (I feel like I'm only getting in the way).
