Well this is a bit of a rarity… it’s Katie writing today! Right after taking this photo first thing this morning, Joe left for a day of brainstorming and boozing somewhere outside of London.

I’m off up to Nottingham for a day of meetings so thought it was time the Avi Rossini briefcase got another outing. The rest of today’s Rainbow Brite ensemble consists of Motel Rocks leggings, Tatty Devine brooch and Kurt Geiger shoes. The Tetris dress is vintage, as are the necklaces from Sally’s Jewellery.

Katie’s in a far better mood this morning than yesterday after I managed to track down the ingredients for her favourite meal last night (big up to Selfridges Food Hall). So we had Weisswurst, white asparagus and sweet mustard, a favourite from when the missus used to live in Germany. NOM.

Today she’s wearing a vintage Lego/Tetris style dress, Olga de Polga lace leggings, Georgina Goodman shoes and Joe and Katie name necklaces from Tatty Devine. So cute.

Hi! So the top pic is Katie today – a French Connection sundress and a sunhat from the L’Orangerie on Columbia Road. The bottom pic is Katie last night in a TK Maxx dress and a wonderful Tatty Devine cocktail umbrella necklace. And of course, lots of Soltan in both (and the de rigueur whiff of Amaretto).

We’re staying on a little island called Meeru – it’s utterly amazing. We’re especially surprised by just how many sharks and rays we’ve seen – they’re like literally everywhere, but I don’t think they’re the bitey kind. I’ve started naming my favourites.

As of tonight, I’ll start taking pictures of what Katie wears for the evening (you know how much she likes to get dressed up for dinner). But first it’s time to lay around for a bit and drink a booze.

Anyway, I wanted to invite you all to a charity auction tonight. One of the teachers at Columbia Road School near my house had a stroke and has been left really ill. So, the local community have come together and persuaded the great and the good of East London to donate items – from art by the Chapman Brothers, Rob Ryan and Gavin Turk to a Matthew Williamson dress and a walk with Iain Sinclair.

It’s at Columbia Road School, E2 – doors open at 5.30pm and the auction starts at 6.30pm. You can find out more here.

Here’s Katie just before she shoots off up North for some meeting or other. She’s wearing a whole load of stuff: Motel Rocks cardi, Tatty Devine brooch, shoes from the Lavender Room, another Kyboe watch, Stolen Thunder snoodle scarf thing, and probably a few other bits too.

So, what new policies are you hoping for from a Con/Lib government? I’m looking forward to that promised Shoreditch tax-break (in was in their manifestos, towards the back I think) and an end to Crocs and Croc Wearers.

I think Katie’s purposefully trying to confuse you as to where her political allegiances lie: not a single party colour is missing (she’s even managed to include the flamboyant black and turquoise stripes of them awful UKIPs).

The pre-lection outfit consists of a vintage Gail Hoppen “Thatcher” jacket, Solea shoes, Benetton sweater, Wilbur & Gussie clutch and a Tatty Devine brooch.

Have lovely days all. I’ll be mourning the loss of my New Labour relationship, dividing up the CDs, deleting them off Facebook, texting their sister and crying into Tony’s signed Oasis t-shirt. It was great while it lasted.

Yes – lots of grappa for me last night. No grappa for Katie. Which is why Katie looks fresh faced (and ready to buy foam) and I feel how Gordon Brown looks when he’s trying to do his smile thing.

Anyway, here she is. The main event. The not-at-all-bigoted woman. She wears a Max C dress, a vintage cardigan, Tatty Devine belt and a Kabiri necklace thing. Beautiful.

Hello! First of all, you might have noticed that WKW looks a wee bit different today – we’ve started running a couple of adverts on the site. We’re sorry if you’re not so keen – but we do both work in advertising and to be honest, I’m amazed we’ve held out for so long! We’re sure that it won’t affect your daily viewing enjoyment and know that you won’t begrudge us saving up a few pennies to put in the buy-Katie-a-sparkly-ring fund. Or a bottle of gin as big as the Ritz.

I love the way that today Katie has effortlessly coordinated her two-tone American Apparel tights with the two framed prints that I’ve yet to hang on the wall. Today her shoes are lovely little patent Carvela numbers, the sequin thing is vintage but the pièces de résistance are the awesome Joe and Katie necklaces from the wonderful Tatty Devine!! How cool!

Hello. Joe’s back – thanks for all the get well soon messages, I’m well on the road to recovery.

In fact, I’ve been feeling well enough to pop over to the best sweet shop ever  - Suck and Chew on Columbia Road. It’s proprietor is a rather dapper chap called McCaulay who sells Kola Kubes, Wham bars and best of all, Foam Candy Bananas. He also has rather excellent facial hair.
