Hello!

Turns out, we’re “couple bloggers”. Must be true, some apprentice hack reckoned it in the Grauniad. As a lifelong Guardian reader, I was slightly disappointed: I read the paper to feel guilty about (1) living in that London (2) secretly voting Tory (3) not eating enough pulses. I hardly expect to read some puff piece about the vanity of “couple bloggers” when I could be feeling bad about not really doing anything much about Sudan. Or the rioting classes. Or the Tories. Sadly, my day has been as guilt-free as bottom sex with a Catholic.

Ironically, my vain, narcissistic, egobucket of a lady wears all the clothes Guardian readers hate today. The Temperlery skirt probably contains manmade fibres, the shirt is from Danish brand RÜTME (think of the airmiles!) and the vintage Prada brooch is made from a lump of bone taken from the late Paul Foot’s chin.

Urrrgh. Me and my liver have fallen out in a massive way. Thankfully Cannes is only once a year (and K and J have the day off work tomorrow so we’re planning time for some major relaxation).

We’ve taken a weekend trip to the butchers and returned with about a dozen different flavours of meat, many of which we’re going to need to Google before attempting. We’re unintentionally going turbo-Atkins this week. I’m getting the meat tingles just thinking about it.

Meat Girl wears a shrimp candy ring from Suck & Chew, easily the best confectioners in London (out-of-towners take note: they do mail order too, so you can order some old fashioned sweets to have after your chips, gravy and scratchcards), Kurt Geiger shoes, half a Temperley twin set and Lotte Jones tights.

Hello. You’ll be pleased (probably) to see a fully clothed Katie back on your screens today. Doesn’t she look that little sniper girl Mathilda from the classic 90s film Leon?

Today Katie’s wearing a Temperley skirt, Topshop sequinned top, my new Hackett sunglasses and a fabulous pair of sandal-boots sent to her by Laura at ethical fashion label Where Fashion. They’ll be in store next week – check them out.

So, despite our ambitious trip to the sweet shop yesterday, I’m still largely bedridden. K put me in the car for a wee drive this afternoon but to be honest it was all a bit much for me. This must be what it’s like to be in an old people’s home. At least I’ve got Antiques Roadshow to look forward to. And possibly Songs of Praise. Although sometimes it makes me act up – especially if nurse has forgotten to give me my orange pills.

Today, my beautiful, long-suffering carer has been wearing a Temperley skirt and a Zara jumper and carrying my meds in her wonderful new Wilbur & Gussie clutch. Speak tomorrow – time for my nap.

Break out that sticky blue booze,  dress your thirteen year old in a miniskirt and don’t forget the faaackin’ scratchards. I’ve pawned all of my Elizabeth Duke and we’re off to Lanzarote tomorrow.

I joke of course – the place we’re going comes highly recommended by The Guardian, we’ve offset our carbon and actually, chav-chic is the new heroin-chic. With extra heroin. Dahling.

So (fingers crossed) tomorrow’s post will be coming from a warm beach. But first poor Katie has to slog it out against the coalface in meetings in Nottingham before we fly off. Today she’s wearing Red or Dead leggings from Tights Please, a dress from TK Maxx, Temperley cardigan and French Connection shoes. Catch you tomorrow. xx

Hello! All set for the week? Got your pencils sharpened, your shoes polished and a clean shirt on? Or did you stay up late last night with a bottle of wine to watch rubbish telly? Yeah, me too.

Katie looks as fresh as a daisy though. Today she’s wearing a Temperley cardigan, a vintage beaded top from a Flohmarkt in Germany, a Topshop miniskirt and extra warm long johns from Howies. Have a good one.

Sorry for the late post. The nice folks at Bicester Village invited us over for their bloggers day. It basically involved drinking champagne and coming close to blowing a month’s rent on a Gucci velvet DJ for me and a year’s rent on a Marni fur coat for Katie. Nevertheless, lots of bargains were had and a few Christmas presents bought too. And then some more champagne. Thanks very much for inviting us over guys – I’m sure you’ll be seeing some of our purchases on the blog in the weeks to come.

The really big news today is that it’s Katie’s mum’s birthday. We’re off out to celebrate later on – I’ll try and remember to take a picture of evening-wear Katie. Her daytime ensemble consists of Temperley skirt and cardigan, Sonia Rykiel jumper and scarf and a Luella coat. Very cute.

Bonfire night tonight, although I’m not sure we’re going to any fireworks – I’ve got loads of work and K’s going away for a couple of days and so needs to pack eight or nine suitcases probably. Here she is, looking especially demure today, wearing a Temperley beaded top, Tatty Devine telephone brooch, River Island dress and American Apparel tights. Very nice.

Welcome to another chair-gripping instalment of the Anthony Challenge – the global pastime odds-on to become an Olympic sport before snooker. And, much like building a frame winning break, today Katie has metaphorically gone for the safe blue of Anthony’s 80′s flecked polo shirt, rather than cut the risky black of Anthony’s childhood pyjamas. She’s clearly building up to something BIG for the end of the week. The challenge outfit also consists of an ASOS jumpsuit, Temperley cardigan and the Lulu umbrella. Doesn’t she look nice in front of the new Ryantown frontage?
