Date night was excellent. Katie took me to Terroirs for lots of French deliciousness and a bit of romance. Alas, the night came off the rails when we arrived home and ended up drinking the house dry with the neighbours. As a result, today has been spent in quiet reflection. And McDonalds.

As ever, Katie looks great. She’s wearing Stella MacCartney shoes (RRP £1,300!!! Oh how we love TK Maxx for making such things affordable for normal people), Cos dress, vintage bed jacket and wee clutch by Red Ruby Rose.

Because we haven’t really seen each other for days, Katie took me out to dinner last night to what is fast becoming our favourite restaurant in London, Terroirs. It was made extra special after the sommelier gave us half a bottle of Clos des Corvées which another diner had decided wasn’t to his taste. It definitely was to our tastes. Although at £110 a bottle, is probably not going to be replacing the vin de merde in our wine rack any time soon.

Today Katie’s wearing her dazzling gold Burberry square sequin cardigan (pretty cool eh?), an Orla Kiely dress, her mum’s shoes, Disney Couture necklace and Falke tights. Beautiful.

We went out for some delicious food yesterday at Terroirs – total recommendation, definitely tops KFC. Their wine list is bigger than the Bible. Katie’s birthday present from me is a little surprise trip away somewhere. We fly tonight – you can find out where we’ve gone tomorrow! I cannot wait. Katie is off up to Nottingham for a bit of work today wearing a vintage quilted bed jacket from Covert Candy, a beautiful Fifi Wilson bracelet ( a birthday pressie from Euan and Aimee), a Tatty Devine brooch and Tabio tights. Byeeeee for now.
