This might be one of my favourite ever shots on the blog; kudos to Jenna for the photography and for Corrina for the art direction! Joe’s out at a charity pub quiz tonight and I’m working late again, but with just one more day before we go on holiday I’m smiley in spite of it all.

I also seem to be wearing a lot of orange of late. I hate to admit this may be as a result of me now being a regular London Overground user and so constantly exposed to a tangerine palette! Today’s cadmium ensemble started with a Daks dress (an old TK Maxx find), layered with an M&S Limited Collection jumper, She Really Roks beads and awesome Wolford tights.

One more day ’til the weekend. Have lovely Thursday evenings all.

Thanks to the lovely Kate at Precious my frantic day was broken up by a very special treat. A chance to take a sneak peek at their AW fashion event at the magical Denis Severs House and to get my picture taken wearing new pieces from their collections. We’ll pop the pics on the blog soon, but til then, keep an eye on the Precious blog for coverage.

Thereafter it was back to the grindstone and a late night office photo featuring either a super-sized me or a teeny wee chair prop. You decide! Either way, aren’t my spotty Wolford tights lovely?

I am so excited. Sadly poor Joe is still working, so I’m on blog duties tonight.

Excitement is solely house-related. Tape measure in hand, we went back to look at our house this morning (our house!) and got all giddy about how much we love it and how much we can’t wait to get our keys. Turns out we also have an apple tree at the back of the garden so looks like there will be apple crumble (or home-brewed cider) this time next year.

We thought it’d be apt to take the picture here again after the house visit. I’m grinning from ear to ear wearing a rainbow-brite twinkly necklace Joe got me in Tatty Devine, a Whistles skirt I’ve had since school and a Manoush bodywarmer to match my Wolford tights.

It’s been a fair dreich day up in Scotland. We’ve been down to North Berwick with Katie’s kin to buy some kerry oot lobsters and have a beer with our pal Slack.

Now we’re back hame to pull up tha drawbridge, dry oot our breeks and git blootie in front of tha telly.

Katie wears a new ASOS jacket, Wolford tights and a vintage dress and silk scarf.

I’m supine on the sofa watching the cricket (“working”) and Katie’s off to get some mental nails didded with LJ. Later we’re all off to Restaurants In Residence, the most hipster way of consuming food ever conceived (it actually sounds really amazing).

Today marks an entire week off the booze and the delicious tabs (ok – so I treated myself to two pints of summery ale last night – but not a whiff of smoke). I’ve lost 4kg and moved a notch on my belt. At the risk of WKW becoming my Bridget Jones’ Diary, I’ll quit with the health updates.

I can’t type any chat today – I’ve got lots to get done and I’m desperate to get out of this office.

Hey it’s Katie, long time no speak. It’s just 9.30pm but the jetlag has finally caught-up with hard-living Joe and he’s already tucked up in bed sound asleep. Joe took this shot on the way home from long days at work for us both; isn’t the light very otherworldly?

Hard to tell in the shot, but today I’m wearing red cut-out Wolford leggings, a Cacharel Liberty print dress and almost matching Comic Relief Liberty print bag (from TK Maxx). Can’t believe just how decidedly scary my Year Zero Joker looks in this shot.

Early night for me too; just the thought of a full week at work makes me feel as sleepy as Joe.

Hiya! We’re cooking – our friends Nick and Kos are coming round for dinner so Katie and I are frantically cooking and chilling wine. I’m finding it difficult to type as my hands are covered in food gunk. There’s a slim possibility of food pictures on the blog tomorrow. Slim.

What are you up to this evening? Are any of you young enough to still be going clubbing? I wish I was.

It’s, like, so totally beer garden weather, yah? Alas, I’ve completely mugged myself off and left a whole heap of work stuff to do by tomorrow – looks like it’s going to be a late one. It’s my own fault for going out last night (Mondays are the new Wednesdays).

Katie also went out last night, although you’d never tell. Doesn’t she look etherial? Perhaps she’s saving herself for a big Wednesday?

Katie’s mum Jane is visiting tonight so we’re off out for some Frenchy supper at Brawn. Don’t the pair of them look glamourous?
